About us
Weapons, armistices, threats, pacifism, battlefields, negotiations, disputes, human rights. How do we learn about all this? We read newspapers, stare at our smartphones, and go to the cinema? How different can “reality” be to what we can grasp through a screen? Why is it so easy to picture war over peace, and what does peace actually look like?
At PAX Magazine, we want to explore these matters creatively.
Here you will find materials with standpoints unique to each other that explore a wide range of topics related to peace and conflict, security studies, international relations and humanitarian work, particularly with references to pop culture, such as movies, podcasts, videogames or music that will help us navigate these topics.
We are a group of students living in Germany who are committed to promoting a space to help discussions on peace and conflict flourish.
Our collaborators come from various occupations and backgrounds, including journalism, social sciences, engineering, etc.

Our project, "Postcards from home", was created on 05 July 2023 at the Faculty of Humanities Summer Festival of Otto-von-Guëricke-Unviersität Magdeburg.
We will happily upload the final result to our website!
